About the role

  • Partner Manager making Customer.io’s messaging and engagement platform native to AI builder ecosystems. Owning marketplace partnerships, commercial terms, and shipped integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize existing Claude and ChatGPT integrations, including MCP discoverability and GEO
  • Identify and prioritize AI builder platforms worth partnering with
  • Work with Engineering, Design, and Product to assess technical feasibility and distribution potential
  • Own partner relationships from outbound through negotiation, ongoing management, signed agreement, and shipped integration
  • Negotiate revenue share, co-marketing, and marketplace listing terms
  • Translate marketplace technical requirements into specifications and work with engineering to scope and ship integrations
  • Get Customer.io listed, verified, and featured in partner marketplaces or directories
  • Track installs, activations, and marketplace-sourced pipeline
  • Report on partnership performance and recommend renegotiation or deprioritization
  • Build repeatable partnership evaluation and onboarding processes

Requirements

  • 5-7 years in business development, partnerships, or platform/ecosystem roles, ideally with a developer tools, API-first, or marketplace-driven product
  • Track record of getting a product listed and adopted inside another platform's ecosystem, such as app stores, marketplaces, or integration directories
  • Ability to read API and webhook documentation
  • Understanding of OAuth and auth scopes
  • Comfort discussing CLI tooling and scoping work with engineers
  • Experience structuring revenue share, co-marketing, and referral agreements
  • Understanding of self-serve, product-led growth motions
  • Based in North America
  • Excellent cross-functional operating skills
  • Final candidates must complete a background check and employment verifications
