About the role
- Senior M365 Messaging Specialist managing Danaher’s global Microsoft messaging infrastructure. Leading Exchange, Proofpoint, compliance, automation, and Tier 3 support.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments
- Manage, configure, and optimize Proofpoint Email Protection, Threat Response, TAP, and DLP policies
- Administer Microsoft Defender for Office 365, SPF/DKIM/DMARC policies, and TLS configurations
- Serve as a subject matter expert in email routing, delivery troubleshooting, mail flow policies, and message trace analysis
- Implement best practices for email retention, legal hold, eDiscovery, and compliance
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, and system administration
- Provide Tier 3 support and guidance to junior engineers and IT support teams
- Lead migrations and integrations related to the Messaging Service, including acquisition support
Requirements
- Long-standing experience architecting and maintaining Microsoft messaging and collaboration solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Minimum 5 years of work experience
- In-depth knowledge of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC email authentication protocols
- Experience with secure mail gateway configurations
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Compliance Center
- Experience with Proofpoint
- Experience with email encryption solutions
- Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting for Exchange and Microsoft 365 administration
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to travel up to 10%
