About the role

  • Project delivery manager coordinating application and technology delivery for Desjardins, a financial services cooperative. Leading complex projects, teams, budgets, risks and implementation timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Direct material, time, IT and human resources on cross-sector projects to meet objectives on time and on budget
  • Analyze project feasibility and opportunities, develop action plans, define milestones and coordinate project teams
  • Supervise and coordinate contributors delivering the application and technology component of innovative, large-scale projects
  • Ensure timelines and budgets are respected
  • Ensure availability of technology platforms needed to deliver projects and operate solutions after delivery
  • Plan, prioritize and coordinate work to meet objectives
  • Ensure quality of deliverables and performance and engagement of contributors
  • Plan deliverables for the application and technology component
  • Estimate project costs, accounting for issues, complexity, practitioners and tie-ins with other projects
  • Ensure team performance and quality control and identify project-specific standards, methods and procedures
  • Coordinate deliverables and ensure agreements, budgets, timelines, performance and priorities are aligned
  • Analyze risks and impacts and develop strategies to address them
  • Work with the project leader to manage change requests, solution testing and implementation strategy
  • Ensure availability of the application layer of infrastructure platforms

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Ability to direct material, time, IT and human resources on cross-sector projects
  • Extensive knowledge of the relevant specialty area
  • Ability to analyze project feasibility, opportunities, risks and impacts
  • Ability to develop action plans, define milestones and coordinate project teams
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate contributors
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, standards, methods and procedures
  • Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across many fields
  • Interpersonal savvy and ability to lead teams and decision-making bodies
