About the role
- Real estate financing analyst supporting Desjardins, North America's largest cooperative financial group. Managing Canadian loan portfolios, financial models, due diligence, and commercial mortgage transactions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial models analyzing property or project cash flows and capital stacks to assess financial risks associated with property or project financing
- Monitor assigned loan portfolios, including annual reviews, property inspections/site visits, monthly progress draws for construction loans, and compliance with loan conditions
- Handle minor post-funding amendments or changes initiated by borrowers or required by lenders, as directed by the Portfolio Manager and in consultation with the origination team
- Assist the origination team in preparing term sheets and discussion papers for clients and prospects
- Assist with due diligence and review of property/project documents and loan documentation
- Carry out tasks supporting promotional campaigns for the unit's activities
- Participate in public relations activities and business circles
- Perform other activities delegated by the Portfolio Manager or national team leader
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
