About the role

  • Desjardins business development advisor selling financial products and services. Supporting complex member-client relationships through analysis, tailored solutions, portfolio oversight, and sales strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Set goals and advise partners, practitioners, members and clients on the best solutions and strategies
  • Collect, compile and analyze data
  • Prepare reports and recommendations
  • Oversee portfolios
  • Assess customer satisfaction and service quality, follow up and make improvements as needed
  • Monitor the industry to stay on top of the latest trends, opportunities and best practices
  • Serve and maintain business relationships with members and clients
  • Sell products and services through multiple distribution channels based on member/client needs and current strategies and practices
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with important clients
  • Promote and sell products and services in accordance with business objectives and strategies
  • Analyze member/client needs, develop and implement personalized solutions, and present integrated service offers
  • Advise and assist practitioners and current and potential members and clients
  • Represent Desjardins and enter the organization into important agreements with clients
  • Establish and negotiate product and service terms

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
