About the role

Data Engineering Advisor building and maintaining Desjardins’ cybersecurity data lake. Developing Azure-based ingestion, governance, and data-quality automation.

Responsibilities

Develop scripts and automation to ingest data into the consumption zone and transform and valorize data for the consumption zone
Develop API call modules to support data governance and documentation activities
Develop automated modules to support data quality control activities and appropriate corrective measures
Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the security data lake, the authoritative source for teams in Desjardins’s Information Security Division

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience with Azure tools: Azure Databricks, FunctionApp, LogicApp, SQL
Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Azure Databricks certification or demonstrated equivalent in ETL
Intermediate or advanced experience in one or more of the following languages: PySpark, Python, Java or C#
Intermediate or advanced experience in SQL
Knowledge of French is required
Knowledge of one of the following storage tools: Storage Account, SQL Server or Databricks
