- Equity Research Associate analyzing oil and gas companies for Desjardins Capital Markets in Toronto. Building financial models, researching industries, and supporting equity analyst reports.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of comprehensive company/industry specific financial and operational models
- Maintain and develop sector specific databases
- Compile and evaluate industry information and research
- Assist in generating company and industry research reports and comments
- Provide analytical, quantitative and administrative support to the analyst as required
- Assist with ad-hoc projects, presentations and assignments as needed
- Liaise with sales, trading and other areas of the firm
- Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel from companies under coverage
Requirements
- Honour's Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in analyzing financial statements and creating financial models in Excel
- Advanced computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Bloomberg
- Experience sourcing data from the internet
