About the role
- Financial due diligence advisor evaluating growth-company investments for Quebec fund manager Desjardins Capital. Modeling performance, assessing forecasts, and guiding post-transaction improvements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure analyzed financial information is accurate, relevant and complete for investment decision-making
- Develop procedures and methodologies adapted to each due diligence file and investment amount
- Assess company operations and controls
- Develop financial models to assess company performance, outlook and value drivers
- Analyze historical and interim results and financial situations
- Assess, test and adjust financial forecasts
- Evaluate financial team capacity and practices
- Present findings and recommendations for decision-making
- Recommend focus-area measures and post-investment follow-up priorities
- Write the financial analysis section of executive reports
- Advise businesses on improving financial information and updating accounting policies and practices
- Develop and maintain a professional due diligence network
- Monitor due diligence changes and trends and improve practices and policies
- Share knowledge with employees to develop collective expertise
- Incorporate artificial intelligence into analyses
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Advanced proficiency of English, both oral and written
- Strong knowledge of business valuation
