About the role

  • General Management Assistant supporting Desjardins caisse leadership with scheduling, strategic documents, meetings, communications, and administrative operations in Québec.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and follow up on the general manager's schedule, phone calls, emails, and mail, based on established priorities
  • Process a variety of requests according to general instructions
  • Consult, consolidate, and assemble strategic documents
  • Establish priorities and make recommendations required for delivering strategic documents
  • Coordinate the delivery of files to the Management Committee, Board of Directors, Board of Supervision, Board of Ethics, and other committees
  • Prepare for and attend management and board meetings
  • Take meeting minutes and follow up on resulting business
  • Organize logistics for team meetings, committees, general meetings, training courses, telephone conferences, travel, and public relations activities
  • Support coordination of internal caisse communications
  • Perform internal management administrative tasks, including tracking sales, maintaining the scorecard, monitoring expense accounts, managing inventory and equipment, and conducting performance evaluations
  • Manage documents and update general management records in accordance with current practices and regulations
  • Draft, format, update, create, and revise information documents for the general manager
  • Support the general manager in retrieving information, carrying out business processes, and using information systems

Requirements

  • Trade school diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of French spelling and grammar
  • Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives
  • Knowledge of service standards
  • Standing alone
