About the role
- IT Security Officer overseeing information security for Desjardins’ property and casualty insurance sector. Managing risks, vulnerabilities, suppliers, complex projects, and executive security reporting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee information security for the Personal and Business Services segment of the property and casualty insurance sector
- Conduct risk analysis
- Review action plans
- Contextualize vulnerabilities
- Produce information security executive dashboards
- Monitor strategic sector initiatives
- Collaborate closely with chief security officer representatives and business security officers
- Serve as a sectoral expert for cross-sector initiatives
- Represent the Desjardins Group Security Office in influencing critical suppliers’ information security service delivery
- Serve as a sectoral expert for complex large-scale projects, including major projects and business acquisitions
- Proactively influence assigned IT teams
- Monitor operational information security activities and track action-plan progress
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in information security and/or the general tech sector
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Recognized security certifications including CISSP, CISA, CISM, CAMS or any other relevant certification
- Experience managing information security risk and managing vulnerabilities
- Experience in security architecture
- Experience in executive communication and reporting
- Advanced oral and written communication skills in French
- Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
- Mastery of the strategic and pragmatic aspects of implementing information security requirements
