Responsibilities
- Support project financial management by conducting financial analyses, monitoring financial performance, and preparing financial reports.
- Analyze, record, and validate project-related expenses in accordance with applicable agreements and policies.
- Participate in preparing financial statements in collaboration with the team.
- Prepare accounting entries.
- Invoice expenses to funding agencies.
- Identify expenses requiring prior approval from funding agencies.
- Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of internal control procedures within projects.
- Participate in internal and external project audits.
- Contribute to resolving operational issues and continuously improving processes and tools.
- Support teams abroad in using tools and systems.
Requirements
- College diploma in accounting.
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work in English to communicate effectively with local teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent financial analysis skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply funding agencies’ contractual requirements.
- Strong learning agility and adaptability.
- Proactive and autonomous approach to managing files and assignments, while maintaining a strong collaborative spirit.
- Rigor and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively in an occasionally ambiguous and changing environment.
- Comfortable working remotely with various collaborators.
