About the role
- Project control officer managing budgets, timelines, risks, and performance for Desjardins projects. Coordinating teams and implementing project delivery processes in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
- Help plan and monitor projects to meet objectives on time and on budget
- Work alongside the project/agile leader and serve as a point person for the team
- Serve as a resource person for project management tools, planning and performance monitoring
- Monitor projects, programs and groups of projects and ensure they are efficient
- Anticipate issues and trends, suggest solutions and ensure implementation
- Use analysis and assessments to recommend innovative solutions
- Serve as point person for implementation of Project Delivery Office processes and requirements
- Manage highly complex projects and programs
- Interact with stakeholders across many fields
- Integrate and coordinate various work groups
- Lead and serve as specialist to teams, decision-making bodies and external providers
- Monitor project scopes, budgets and timelines and produce reports
- Analyze trends and discrepancies and suggest solutions to meet performance indicators
- Assist with risk, issues and document management
- Ensure project management best practices are followed
- Track milestones and key dates for squads and contributors
- Analyze plans, recommend resource capacity adjustments and update project plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate work to meet objectives
- Extensive knowledge of the relevant specialty area
- Solid analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business
- Ability to deal with complexity, ambiguity and/or multiple initiatives at once
- Project management tools, planning and performance monitoring knowledge
- Risk, issues and document management knowledge
- Knowledge of project management best practices
