About the role

Project lead overseeing complex strategic initiatives for Desjardins, a financial services cooperative. Coordinating teams, roadmaps, budgets, governance, risks, and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

Support the project sponsor and oversee a work team involved in cross-sector projects and initiatives
Participate in all project phases, from design to rollout
Identify goals, strategies and approaches
Coordinate efforts for large-scale, innovative projects
Manage teams and help the organization achieve its objectives
Work on deliverables with contribution managers, ensuring business objectives are met, benefits are delivered, and budgets and timelines are respected
Ensure material, human and financial resources are available to meet target business objectives
Manage, monitor and communicate the roadmap and budget
Define and promote governance
Identify and handle project issues and risks
Prepare reports and status updates for the project sponsor and decision-making bodies
Help manage internal and external suppliers
Lead and serve as specialist to teams and decision-making bodies
Represent Desjardins’s position when making agreements with external providers

Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of six years of relevant experience
Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
