About the role
- Real estate financing analyst managing Canadian development loans and commercial mortgages for Desjardins, North America's largest cooperative financial group. Supporting portfolio monitoring, financial modeling, and origination due diligence.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Portfolio Manager in managing and monitoring a portfolio of real estate development loans and commercial mortgages
- Prepare and maintain financial models analyzing property or project cash flows and capital stacks
- Monitor assigned loans, including annual reviews, property inspections/site visits, monthly progress draws, and loan-condition compliance
- Handle minor borrower-initiated or lender-required amendments after funding
- Assist the origination team with term sheets and discussion papers for clients and prospects
- Support due diligence and review of property/project reports and loan documentation
- Carry out promotional campaign tasks for the unit's activities
- Participate in public relations activities and business circles
- Perform other activities delegated by the Portfolio Manager or national team leader
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience
