About the role
- Security advisor strengthening Desjardins's security posture across risk, compliance, data protection, and fraud prevention. Advising partners and coordinating security initiatives for the financial cooperative Desjardins.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize security measures aligned with corporate objectives
- Plan, implement and oversee security best practices to strengthen Desjardins's security posture
- Help develop the Desjardins Group Security Office's priorities and governance
- Work across security specialties including personal information and data protection, information security, physical security, and financial crime and fraud prevention
- Advise and assist clients and partners on major security-related initiatives and development projects
- Propose solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs
- Identify and assess risks
- Serve as integrator for projects, processes and initiatives
- Prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on organizational objectives and priorities
- Diagnose issues, risks, needs and challenges to determine target outcomes
- Analyze data and conduct studies and make recommendations
- Design, update, implement and monitor legal and regulatory compliance action plans, programs, processes, solutions and tools
- Help train internal practitioners, raise awareness and communicate information
- Support outreach activities for internal and external partners and practitioners
- Coordinate with stakeholders working in other fields
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
