About the role

  • Senior IT architecture advisor designing complex enterprise solutions for Desjardins, a financial services cooperative. Guiding strategic initiatives across data, applications, security and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design IT solutions to meet the business needs of large-scale projects or programs using Desjardins Group’s architecture targets and shared platforms
  • Ensure consistency with the organization’s structure, current and future needs, and compatibility with existing architecture
  • Lead and influence business partners and stakeholders on innovative, complex strategic initiatives related to solution architecture
  • Make recommendations on IT development and implementation strategies compliant with architecture targets
  • Produce specialized deliverables for highly complex projects or initiatives
  • Serve as an expert advisor on application solutions and operations architecture and as an integrator for delivery teams
  • Advise business partners and stakeholders on planning, developing, executing and monitoring strategic initiatives
  • Organize, manage and deliver guidance on technical subjects requiring stakeholder consensus
  • Develop and update policies, standards, architecture targets and supporting foundations
  • Identify and analyze potential IT solutions and issues; report major issues
  • Establish guidelines and make recommendations to decision-making bodies and committees
  • Represent the unit before senior management committees and decision-making bodies
  • Represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with external partners and organizations
  • Serve as a resource person, coach and subject matter expert for senior management and decision-making bodies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Advanced proficiency in French, both spoken and written
  • Intermediate advanced proficiency of English
  • Expertise across several IT fields, including data, applications, security and infrastructure
  • Action oriented, Customer Focus, Differences, Interpersonal Savvy, Nimble learning, Strategic mindset
