About the role
- Senior IT architect designing complex data, application, security, and infrastructure solutions for Desjardins Group. Advising stakeholders and guiding strategic technology initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design IT solutions to meet project business needs using Desjardins Group’s architecture targets and shared platforms
- Ensure consistency with the organization’s structure, current and future needs, and compatibility with existing architecture
- Influence business partners and stakeholders on strategic, complex and innovative solution architecture development initiatives
- Apply extensive expertise across data, applications, security and infrastructure
- Make recommendations on IT development and implementation strategies compliant with architecture targets
- Produce specialized deliverables for highly complex projects and initiatives
- Act as an architecture team member and specialized advisor on application solutions and operations architecture
- Integrate one or more delivery teams for projects, initiatives and development activities with significant organizational impact
- Advise business partners and stakeholders on planning, developing, configuring, executing and monitoring innovative technology solutions
- Design IT solutions and oversee development of policies and standards considering data, application, security and infrastructure needs
- Identify and analyze potential IT solutions and issues; report major issues, diagnose problems, establish guidelines and make recommendations
- Represent the unit before decision-making bodies and committees
- Represent Desjardins in agreements with external partners and organizations
- Serve as a specialist advisor, resource person and coach for decision-making bodies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
