About the role

  • Market Development Manager leading Desjardins financial-services teams, business planning, and member relationships. Driving service quality, profitability, talent development, and cooperative growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the department and strategically and operationally manage a team dedicated to selling financial products and services
  • Build and maintain long-term business relationships with members and clients
  • Develop and monitor a business plan addressing priorities, challenges and objectives
  • Ensure sector performance and sound, prudent risk management
  • Follow up on results and manage employee and department performance
  • Oversee employee skills development and ensure high-quality service
  • Coach team members and provide advisory services and recommendations
  • Support the immediate supervisor in developing business strategies aligned with Desjardins’s strategic priorities
  • Ensure service quality, business relationships, and the member/client experience
  • Implement and monitor action plans to achieve target results
  • Establish management and communication practices supporting talent acquisition, talent management, team synergy, and change management
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the team to develop skills, increase engagement, and empower employees
  • Implement and develop a competitive, profitable service offering with partnerships across the organization
  • Ensure process efficiency and continuous improvement and increase profitability
  • Promote the Desjardins brand and strengthen community presence
  • Uphold Desjardins’s cooperative values

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
