About the role
- Conversion Consultant transitioning acquired clients from legacy systems onto a payroll processing platform. Leading data mapping, training, initial payrolls, and client go-live cutovers.
Responsibilities
- Own the client journey from legacy systems through go-live for newly acquired clients
- Set expectations, deliver system training, and run initial payrolls
- Analyze, validate, and troubleshoot client data in text and CSV formats
- Ensure accurate system setup and clean cutovers
- Partner with internal technical teams to resolve setup discrepancies and mitigate deployment risks
- Optimize implementation processes
- Conduct gap analyses between legacy and new systems
- Advise clients on workflow changes before handing them off to the ongoing service team
Requirements
- 1+ years of payroll processing, tax, or benefits administration experience
- Prior experience in software implementations or system conversions highly preferred
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Thorough, analytical mindset
- Comfortable typing at least 35 WPM
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to handle customer de-escalations smoothly
