About the role

  • Project Operations Manager overseeing onsite audiovisual implementation projects for Diversified in Calgary. Supervising technicians, enforcing installation standards, and resolving client and field issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite guidance and oversight for multiple projects
  • Act as Site Superintendent and single point of contact for onsite teams
  • Pass and filter information to the Project Manager
  • Address performance of onsite resources and associates
  • Train personnel on installation standards and related areas
  • Serve as first point of escalation for client field issues
  • Defuse and resolve onsite client issues
  • Verify and enforce onsite performance and productivity standards
  • Provide onsite support for integration issues
  • Assist with developing and deploying installation processes and standards
  • Develop training and growth plans for team members
  • Develop and ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance program
  • Track departmental goals and objectives in the field
  • Oversee site Safety, Quality Control, and QA activities
  • Coordinate service activities and ensure systems requiring support are included
  • Verify site preparedness and commissioning readiness
  • Support fleet operations and delivery of tools and materials
  • Maintain and track tooling and test gear
  • Conduct site surveys for projects and sales support
  • Review daily field reports
  • Provide daily feedback to the Project Manager

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience as a senior or lead technician, or experience as a site superintendent with another company
  • Familiarity with a wide range of audio, video, and networking equipment
  • High level of experience in construction environments
  • Knowledge of low voltage electrical concepts
  • Advanced AV installation skills
  • Good verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems
  • Must possess a valid Alberta driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips required
  • Ability to work periodic overtime, weekends, and extended periods of overtime when needed
  • CTS or CTSI certification preferred
