About the role

  • Forward Deployed Engineering Lead building enterprise integrations for Doppel’s AI-native cybersecurity platform. Leading engineers and deploying threat-defense solutions for large enterprises.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team of forward deployed engineers, setting direction, unblocking projects, and staying hands-on with customers and code
  • Own the enterprise integration portfolio, including SIEM/SOAR connectors, ticketing and collaboration tools, custom webhooks, and email ecosystem integrations
  • Own enterprise identity, including SSO, SCIM provisioning, and IDP sync with Okta, Entra, and HR systems
  • Troubleshoot OAuth and SAML issues in the field
  • Serve as the senior technical presence in strategic enterprise deals
  • Scope integrations pre-sale, de-risk deployments, and get customers live quickly
  • Turn one-off customer builds into reusable product and core platform capabilities
  • Expand the team's charter into AI-powered automations, GTM tooling, and internal workflows
  • Coordinate multiple customer projects across engineering, product, sales, and customer success
  • Set standards for documentation, dashboards, and deployment best practices

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience building production applications (Python preferred), including 2+ years in a forward deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing engineering role
  • Experience leading engineers — formally or informally — while still shipping yourself
  • Deep experience with enterprise integrations: OAuth, SAML, SCIM, IDP sync, webhooks, SIEM/SOAR platforms, and REST APIs
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguity
  • A track record of turning bespoke customer work into reusable product or platform capabilities
  • Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers, including non-technical stakeholders, and negotiating priorities with sales and product
  • Familiarity with AI application development, LLM APIs, or workflow automation is a strong plus
  • Strong judgment about ownership
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Product-minded, highly autonomous, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
