About the role

  • Technology Partnership Manager growing Shopify ecosystem referrals for Alia, a popup and engagement platform for Shopify and e-commerce brands. Building partner strategy, enablement, and co-marketing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming technology-partnership requests and assess fit
  • Identify and prioritize technology partners for investment
  • Develop mutual value in strong-fit partnerships
  • Help structure the technology partner program
  • Own education and enablement for technology partners
  • Grow revenue and go-to-market value through technology partnerships
  • Initiate co-marketing efforts, including case studies, white papers, webinars, blog posts, and social promotion
  • Represent Alia and its technology partnership program at events and conferences
  • Build a proactive activation strategy for the partner channel
  • Keep partners informed about feature releases and relevant updates
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with sales, product, and support
  • Enable and activate partners with a revenue-focused approach

Requirements

  • Established network within the Shopify ecosystem, ideally spanning platform/marketing technology partners
  • Track record of building and monetizing partner relationships that drove measurable referral revenue
  • Working technical understanding of the Shopify ecosystem
  • Ability to evaluate a potential partner's product, integration depth, and audience overlap
  • Ability to identify and prioritize partners with high capacity to refer business
  • Ability to translate product and positioning knowledge into a partner point of view
  • Proven ability to manage hundreds of concurrent partner relationships
  • Highly organized, with a system for managing a large and varied partner portfolio
  • Experience running partner enablement, including training, education, and ongoing engagement
  • Excellent written, verbal, and in-person communication skills
  • Confident presenting to and educating individual representatives and partner teams
  • Comfortable and effective working remotely, with strong self-management and proactive communication habits
  • Enjoys travel and in-person events
  • Prior experience in partnerships, business development, or channel roles, ideally in SaaS or e-commerce
