About the role

Professional Practice Analyst supporting Ontario’s early childhood educator regulator. Developing policy, resources and guidance for professional standards and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Lead projects facilitating application of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and the Continuous Professional Learning Program
Conduct research to inform policy, program and resource development
Collaborate with departments to create, disseminate and facilitate understanding of professional practice content
Address practice issues from a prevention-focused perspective
Respond to member and public queries regarding complex practice issues
Contribute to College-wide and department planning and operational activities
Prepare reports, briefing notes, correspondence, position papers and presentations for executives, Council and committees
Facilitate presentations, workshops and consultations with members and sector partners
Represent the College or department on external and internal committees and working groups
Provide specialist staff support to the Standards of Practice Committee

Four-year college or university program in early childhood education or a related field (e.g., education, social sciences)
Registered Early Childhood Educator
3 to 5 years’ experience, including experience in the early learning and child care sector
Knowledge of the Early Childhood Educators Act, 2007, Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, and the Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) Program
Research, analytical and judgement skills to conduct research, analyze data and develop recommendations
Ability to work independently and in a team in an environment with changing priorities
Written communication skills for preparing presentations, briefing notes, reports and practice resources
Verbal communication, public speaking/presentation and interpersonal skills
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
