About the role

  • Wealth management consultant helping Electric Mind’s advisory and digital engineering firm transform Canadian banks and dealers. Bridging strategy, operations, platforms, and delivery across the wealth value chain.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategy engagements, including current-state assessments, target-state and operating model definition, business cases, and transformation roadmaps
  • Support delivery on transformation programs such as platform replacements, back-office conversions, operating model changes, and digital advice or self-directed launches
  • Map current-state and future-state processes across account opening and KYC, trading and order routing, settlement and custody, transfers, corporate actions, fees and billing, client reporting, and tax slips
  • Translate business needs into requirements, user stories, process flows, and data mappings
  • Support vendor and platform assessments and selections
  • Plan and support data migrations and conversions, including reconciliation, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Keep regulatory requirements in view, including CIRO rules, client-focused reforms, and account transfer standards
  • Build relationships with client stakeholders and communicate progress, risks, and recommendations
  • Contribute to Electric Mind’s wealth practice through thought leadership, reusable assets, and proposal support

Requirements

  • 3+ years in wealth management, in consulting, industry or both
  • Hands-on experience in mutual fund dealer or manufacturer operations, full-service brokerage, discount or self-directed brokerage, or bank-owned wealth businesses
  • Working understanding of manufacturers, dealers, advisors, custodians and service providers, and how money, orders and data flow between them
  • Experience on at least one strategy or transformation engagement
  • Familiarity with the Canadian wealth ecosystem, including FundSERV and CDS and major back-office and recordkeeping providers
  • Strong business analysis skills: process mapping, requirements, and working with data
  • Clear writing and presentation skills, and comfort with executives and operations teams
  • A post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual in English and French is a nice-to-have
  • Hands-on experience with major back-office functions or recordkeeping platforms is a nice-to-have
  • Experience on a large data migration or dealer conversion is a nice-to-have
  • Exposure to wealth data models, integrations or APIs is a nice-to-have
  • Knowledge of registered plans (RRSP, TFSA, RESP, FHSA) and operational rules is a nice-to-have
  • Agile delivery experience or CBAP, PMP or Scrum certification is a nice-to-have
