About the role

  • SDET building automated testing frameworks for Emburse’s travel and expense software. Designing integration, workflow, E2E, and performance tests while supporting reliable releases.

Responsibilities

  • Work as the quality champion and SDET within a product scrum team on a large-scale highly distributed enterprise software solution
  • Establish test plans and approaches for features and functionality
  • Ensure code changes are thoroughly tested and released efficiently with high quality
  • Conduct system and end-to-end testing
  • Coordinate and execute release and deployment activities for Emburse releases
  • Design and implement automation for integration and workflow tests
  • Assess load and performance testing requirements and create tests to evaluate system performance under load
  • Pair with developers to ensure applications and features are designed for testability
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products and services
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Identify opportunities to improve the reliability and maintainability of the test automation architecture

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience
  • 3+ years of Testing/Quality Engineering experience in the software domain
  • Broad knowledge of Computer Science concepts and technologies
  • Experience working in Scrum/Agile and DevOps environments
  • Experience designing and implementing automated tests using Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages and concepts, including Python or Java
  • Comfort with SQL and writing SQL queries
  • Exposure to RESTful APIs and experience with Postman, Curl, or equivalent tools
  • Some experience with load/performance testing and tools
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and tackle them without external direction
  • Experience with front-end and back-end automation frameworks, such as Selenium, QA Robot, Playwright, Pytest, and RestAssured
  • Comfort with CI/CD, build, package, configuration, and release management tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, GitLab, and GitHub
  • Knowledge or experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or AWS is a bonus
  • Exposure to infrastructure observability tools such as Grafana, OpenSearch, Coralogix, or Datadog is a bonus
  • This role is not sponsorship eligible
