About the role
- Junior SDET testing March Networks’ cloud video surveillance and analytics solutions. Automating and executing end-to-end tests across cloud applications, hardware, APIs, and databases.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute test plans covering the cloud-based video management and analytics solution
- Help build and manage customer-like environments comprising cloud applications and equipment
- Validate business workflows across the product suite
- Design, write and execute end-to-end manual (30%) and automated (70%) tests and manage results
- Write reproducible defect and observation tickets and collaborate with development, product management and other stakeholders to resolve them
- Help develop the test automation roadmap to increase automation coverage
- Discover and analyze quality gaps and proactively fix them
- Own defects, production incidents and user-workflow test plans
- Orchestrate automated testing with teams
- Prioritize technical debt and architectural spikes to improve product-suite quality
- Comply with automation guidelines and standards for code consistency and maintainability
Requirements
- College or bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering program
- 2–4 years of professional experience in automated testing on a cloud platform with video, analytics or AI
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms, web, mobile, desktop apps, hardware platforms, API and database testing technologies
- Strong test planning and test execution skills
- Knowledge of automated testing industry best practices and trends
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment
- Experience with web automation frameworks such as Cypress and Playwright
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows development environments
- Ability to deliver on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience with agile testing
- Demonstrated ability to ‘wear the customer’s hat’
- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset
- Familiarity with Python, JavaScript and/or Java
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Confluence and Jira
- Ability to speak and understand Mandarin
