Modelling Specialist Co-op creating accurate 3D models of aerial telecommunications infrastructure for Encepta, a Canadian infrastructure planning and design company. Supporting geomatics and structural analysis teams across British Columbia.
Responsibilities
Process point-cloud data, field photographs and measurements
Digitize aerial telecommunications infrastructure and create accurate 3D models
Compare information across multiple programs and datasets to ensure models match real-world conditions
Identify missing, conflicting or unclear information and raise questions early
Complete detailed modelling assignments while meeting quality and productivity expectations
Document work and contribute ideas that improve workflows and efficiency
Work closely with modelling, geomatics and Pole Loading Analysis teams
Support active telecommunications infrastructure projects across British Columbia
Requirements
Current Co-Op student from engineering/technology, GIS, computer science, or a related discipline
Interest in infrastructure, telecommunications, mapping, data, or software
Comfort learning new tools and systems, such as AutoCAD/Revit, GIS/CAD tools, Python/SQL, JavaScript, or common programming frameworks
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Organization and time management for multiple concurrent tasks
Clear communication and a collaborative, respectful work style
Familiarity with Google Workspace or equivalent productivity tools
Ability to learn new tools and technical concepts quickly
Ability to apply feedback and approach unfamiliar problems logically
Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities effectively
