About the role

  • Credit Coordinator supporting broker-facing credit operations for Bennington Financial Corp, EQ’s commercial equipment financing subsidiary. Preparing applications, lease documents, audits, and credit analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Credit and Funding teams to maintain optimal service levels for strategic broker partners
  • Monitor and route emails and online applications submitted to the internal broker desk
  • Liaise with brokers, respond to inquiries, and provide requested information promptly
  • Set up new credit applications, request third-party registry information, pull Equifax and PayNet reports, preliminarily evaluate credit risk and financing scenarios, and escalate unusual matters to Credit Analysts
  • Create lease documents, review credit approvals, conduct searches, prepare waivers, and communicate with brokers to ensure accurate and timely documentation
  • Create preliminary credit packages for funding review and collect documents needed to finalize credit audits
  • Process vendor approvals by researching, validating, and updating system information
  • Assist the Manager with quality assurance and compliance audits
  • Support special projects, including Excel spreadsheet models, program testing, data collection, interpretation, analysis, recommendations, and presentations to senior leadership
  • Provide backup support to other Credit Coordinators

Requirements

  • University or college degree with a Business or Finance background required, or equivalent work experience
  • Applicants who have completed or are enrolled in the C.C.P. program preferred
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar Credit role
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually
  • Organized, accurate, and able to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bilingualism in English and French considered an asset
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and credit check
