About the role
- Director leading Ergomed’s clinical vendor outsourcing strategy and governance. Selecting vendors, optimizing trial delivery, and supporting pharmaceutical sponsors across North America.
Responsibilities
- Lead Ergomed’s clinical outsourcing strategy and vendor governance across the clinical development portfolio
- Partner with Clinical Operations, Vendor Management, Therapeutic Strategy, Regulatory, Quality, and Finance teams
- Drive vendor selection, strategic partnerships, and outsourcing excellence for clinical trial delivery
- Advise from proposal development through study transition to operations
- Lead vendor outsourcing strategies for proposals and RFPs
- Evaluate, select, and recommend vendors based on capabilities, capacity, global reach, and operational readiness
- Strengthen supplier relationships, cost transparency, and strategic sourcing decisions
- Present outsourcing strategies in bid defenses and sponsor meetings
- Build supplier partnerships supporting collaboration, innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement
- Optimize and scale outsourcing processes for efficiency, quality, predictability, and cost effectiveness
- Provide subject matter expertise across Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, and other functions
- Provide insights on vendor performance, risks, capacity, and readiness for portfolio planning
- Develop tools, training, and best practices for outsourcing and vendor governance
- Ensure outsourced activities comply with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and organizational policies
- Support inspection readiness and quality initiatives
Requirements
- Advanced degree (at least Bachelors: Master’s or equivalent) preferred
- Progressive experience in Clinical Operations, Clinical Trial Management, Vendor Oversight, or Outsourcing Management within a CRO, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environment
- Proven experience in clinical trial management and execution across multiple phases and therapeutic areas
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing vendor outsourcing strategies
- Experience supporting proposal development, RFP responses, and business development activities
- Strong understanding of global clinical development processes and outsourced service models
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, process improvements, and organizational change programs
- Compliance knowledge covering ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and organizational policies
