About the role

  • Engineering Project Planner coordinating schedules, workload, capacity, and risks for Expleo’s aerospace engineering projects in Saint-Bruno. Maintaining JIRA plans and supporting IBM Rational EWM deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the engineering activity plan
  • Plan development activities for one or more engineering disciplines
  • Establish sequencing and dependencies between engineering activities
  • Track engineering milestones and project commitments
  • Keep engineering planning information up to date in JIRA
  • Monitor progress against the engineering plan and identify potential delays
  • Analyze schedule variances and identify recovery and mitigation actions
  • Develop alternative planning scenarios when required
  • Identify workload and resource capacity constraints
  • Analyze engineering team capacity versus planned workload
  • Highlight potential bottlenecks and support activity prioritization
  • Participate in project planning meetings and progress reviews
  • Prepare and maintain key performance indicators related to planning
  • Support visual management routines
  • Maintain and track action plans
  • Communicate progress, risks, and next steps to relevant stakeholders
  • Support Engineering users in the use of JIRA
  • Ensure data quality and consistency of planning
  • Participate in the deployment of the new ADS / IBM Rational EWM solution scheduled for 2027

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent
  • More than 5 years of experience
  • Experience in project planning / engineering planning
  • Experience in the rail industry
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Advanced proficiency with JIRA
  • Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera is considered an asset
  • Ability to analyze workload and resource capacity
  • Experience in schedule risk management
  • Experience with KPIs and visual management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
  • Experience in the transportation sector is a major asset
  • Knowledge of APSYS is an asset
  • Experience with IBM Rational / EWM is an asset
