About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for Canadian businesses, clients, and EDC partners
  • Provide professional and efficient service in French and English by phone, email, and digital channels
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policy administration
  • Provide technical support and portal navigation assistance
  • Assist MyEDC account holders with registration, navigation, and technical troubleshooting
  • Participate in professional discussions to resolve client issues
  • Provide information about EDC products and services
  • Identify new business opportunities and refer businesses to the appropriate EDC teams or partners
  • Collaborate with sector teams across value streams
  • Meet service-level agreements
  • Document all client interactions
  • Collect and document client feedback to improve processes

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a college diploma combined with relevant experience
  • Availability Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. ET
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English
  • Ability to confidently and independently manage client interactions, problem resolution, and email correspondence in both official languages
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work with customer relationship management and contact center systems
  • Comfortable handling a high volume of inbound telephone and email inquiries on a daily basis
  • Excellent listening, problem-solving, and probing skills
  • Analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent team player
  • Candidates must meet government security requirements
  • Preference will be given to candidates legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application (Canadian citizens or permanent residents)
