About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve data pipelines, data flows, datasets, semantic models, and analytical assets for customer analytics and Marketing
  • Migrate and redirect production reporting data flows and assets from Denodo and spreadsheet-based processes to the Enterprise Data Platform and Microsoft Fabric
  • Analyze data artifacts, business rules, calculations, and dependencies to rebuild or adapt them when systems, fields, or logic change
  • Develop and optimize curated datasets and semantic models for Power BI, analytical applications, and advanced analytics
  • Create, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Use SQL, Python, R, or comparable languages to acquire, transform, integrate, analyze, and validate structured data
  • Develop scripts, notebooks, utilities, or lightweight applications to automate processes and address operational and analytical challenges
  • Contribute to the deployment and operationalization of analytical applications and models in accordance with development and MLOps practices
  • Troubleshoot data, refresh, integration, and reporting issues; perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct exploratory analyses and data mining on customer-related behaviors, engagement patterns, preferences, segments, and opportunities
  • Support the preparation of customer and prospect data for campaign planning, targeting, personalization, measurement, and reporting
  • Apply quality controls, validation rules, documentation standards, and governance requirements to customer and marketing data
  • Support data acquisition, vendor data processing, quality monitoring, and reporting
  • Document sources, transformations, business rules, calculations, dependencies, controls, and operating procedures
  • Collaborate with Marketing, analytics, data platform, governance, technology, and other stakeholders
  • Communicate analytical findings, technical issues, recommendations, and progress to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Share knowledge, contribute to team standards, and strengthen succession coverage for critical analytical processes and assets
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, reliability, scalability, and efficiency across the data environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, business analytics, management information systems, marketing analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in data development, transformation, integration, or analysis in an operational or production environment
  • Hands-on experience writing SQL queries
  • Hands-on programming experience in Python, R, or a comparable language
  • Experience designing reports, dashboards, datasets, or data models using Power BI or a comparable business intelligence platform
  • Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, data flows, data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse environments
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and adapt existing data assets and business logic
  • Experience analyzing and resolving issues related to data quality, integration, refreshes, or reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy, controls, and attention to detail
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical tasks and data solutions
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and analytical findings in clear business language
  • Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and contribute within cross-functional teams
  • Collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused approach
  • Willingness to learn unfamiliar systems and continually develop technical and business knowledge
  • Candidates must meet government security requirements
