About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, maintenance, and governance of enterprise content design standards, guidelines, templates, and best practices
  • Contribute to content standards that promote consistency, accessibility, clarity, and usability across digital experiences
  • Conduct content reviews and provide compliance recommendations
  • Collaborate with user experience designers, accessibility specialists, product teams, and stakeholders
  • Promote the integration of content standards into design systems, templates, components, and workflows
  • Develop and maintain standards implementation resources, examples, and documentation
  • Incorporate WCAG requirements and plain-language principles
  • Monitor emerging practices and recommend improvements
  • Coordinate user research activities with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Support participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, and communications
  • Manage research logistics, documentation, consent, and operational follow-up
  • Participate in research synthesis, theme identification, findings, and recommendations
  • Support the validation of results with project teams and subject-matter experts
  • Maintain research repositories, knowledge management practices, templates, and operational processes
  • Liaise with vendors and external partners
  • Coordinate vendor activities, timelines, deliverables, and communications
  • Monitor progress and report risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Support procurement, onboarding, invoicing, and vendor-related administrative processes
  • Support the continuous improvement of design processes, governance, and ways of working
  • Plan, coordinate, and track design initiatives and operational activities
  • Contribute to design system documentation, content resources, and supporting materials
  • Contribute to metrics and reporting that measure the adoption, effectiveness, and maturity of design practices
  • Support onboarding, knowledge sharing, training, and team enablement initiatives

Requirements

  • More than 7 years of experience in content design, UX writing, design operations, or a related field
  • Experience creating, maintaining, or governing standards, guidelines, design systems, or UX-related frameworks
  • Excellent understanding of user-centred design principles, inclusive design principles, digital content best practices, and information architecture concepts
  • Experience reviewing content and applying content standards to digital products and experiences
  • Experience supporting enterprise design systems, content systems, or component libraries
  • Experience managing content repositories, taxonomies, terminology, or information architecture assets
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, synthesis techniques, and developing insights
  • Experience coordinating user research activities, participant recruitment, or research execution
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive content design practices, including WCAG
  • Experience facilitating workshops, training, onboarding activities, or initiatives that promote practical application
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable guidance
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise digital product environments
  • Experience building strong working relationships with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience developing governance models, standards, or operating practices for content design and UX research
  • Experience measuring the adoption and effectiveness of standards, frameworks, and operational programs
  • Professional experience in a design operations or UX research operations function (an asset)
  • Knowledge of tools such as Figma, Miro, Mural, UserTesting, Dovetail, Fable Engage, Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365, or similar collaboration and research platforms (an asset)
  • Fluency in English and French, with the ability to review, assess, and support content design practices in both official languages (an asset)
  • Ability to work legally in Canada at the time of application; preference will be given to Canadian citizens or permanent residents
  • Candidates must meet government security requirements
