Responsibilities
Engage business and IT stakeholders in developing the digital strategy, roadmap, and target technology state
Incorporate stakeholder needs into the digital roadmap
Analyze EDC’s technology landscape and provide actionable insights to guide decisions
Balance reducing technical debt with developing new technology capabilities
Apply enterprise architecture and operational capabilities to architecture designs
Guide collaborative, cross-functional execution of the digital roadmap
Provide an architecture framework to coordinate customer experience, applications, data, integration, and infrastructure teams
Promote end-to-end architecture governance value chains
Translate operational needs into cross-domain solution architecture guidance
Communicate architectural strategies, roadmaps, and governance across the organization
Build and maintain a network of influence with stakeholders
Mentor and coach other architecture practitioners
Support the development of enterprise architecture-related principles, standards, and deliverables, including operational capabilities
Requirements
University degree in a field related to enterprise architecture and its practice
At least 7 years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture
Deep knowledge and hands-on experience developing feasible architecture designs
Exceptional ability to influence and deliver results across cross-functional areas and with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to think strategically, act tactically, and execute
Ability to conceptualize and formulate actionable architecture visions
Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, AOS, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics
Knowledge of information management practices, systems development lifecycle, IT service management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, enterprise architecture frameworks, and ITIL practices
Understanding of agile management principles, methodologies, and frameworks, including those deployed at scale
Knowledge of enterprise architecture components, operations, and IT principles and processes
Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, graphical modeling approaches, and repository management
Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application; preference given to Canadian citizens or permanent residents
Candidates must meet government security requirements
Experience with ServiceNow, Salesforce, and modern SaaS-based ERP platforms (asset)
Knowledge of current, new, or emerging technologies, including generative AI and AI solutions and applications (asset)
Proficiency in both of Canada’s official languages, English and French (asset)
