About the role

Responsibilities
- Contribute to software development with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and validation
- Embed quality practices directly into development processes
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated tests and validation mechanisms for systems, services, and data flows
- Reduce reliance on manual testing by expanding automation coverage
- Review and validate AI-generated outputs, including code, test scenarios, and data flows
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead to define and implement risk-based quality standards and testing approaches
- Identify critical paths, risks, and dependencies across systems
- Ensure end-to-end integration validation across different systems
- Continuously improve testing and validation processes
- Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and streamline deployment workflows
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders throughout the deployment lifecycle
Requirements
- Postsecondary degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, testing, or quality engineering roles
- Excellent understanding of testing concepts, automation frameworks, and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Ability to analyze system behavior and identify quality risks and gaps
- Experience using automated testing tools and validation methods
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to use AI-assisted tools while applying critical thinking
- Experience transitioning from manual quality assurance to automation-driven quality models
- Knowledge of enterprise platforms or integrated systems
- Knowledge of DevOps or continuous delivery practices
- Fluency in both official languages (English and French)
- Ability to work legally in Canada at the time of application; Canadian citizens and permanent residents preferred
- Ability to meet government security requirements
