About the role

  • Technicien CAO-DAO concevant plans, devis et infrastructures municipales pour la Fédération québécoise des municipalités. Soutien technique aux municipalités du Québec avec AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to local and regional municipalities in the areas of engineering and municipal infrastructure
  • Participate in the design, preparation of plans and specifications, construction, inspection, rehabilitation, and improvement of municipal infrastructure projects
  • Prepare plans and specifications, sketches, cost estimates, and tender documents for construction projects, including roads, water distribution systems, sewer systems, and culverts
  • Design municipal infrastructure and perform the calculations and other tasks required for the design process
  • Produce drawings, typical sections, plans, and designs in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Prepare and update intervention plans
  • Perform any other related duties as requested by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Hold a college diploma in civil engineering technology or another relevant field of study
  • Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in civil or municipal engineering, or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards governing municipal infrastructure
  • Experience designing municipal infrastructure
  • Flexibility with work schedules
  • Any combination of education and professional experience, as well as other relevant experience, will be considered
