About the role

  • Accounting Administrator managing accounts payable for Felix, a digital healthcare company. Handling invoices, reconciliations, payment runs, receipts, and month-end accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Controller
  • Perform day-to-day accounting administration, focusing on Accounts Payable processes
  • Code and post vendor invoices into QuickBooks Online according to company approval policies
  • Capture invoice data using Dext and ensure early-pay discounts are captured where appropriate
  • Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on missing invoices or discrepancies
  • Prepare and assist with weekly vendor payment runs
  • Process credit card transactions, including GL coding and backup documentation
  • Manage the accounting email inbox and ensure prompt responses and timely invoice processing
  • Post daily receipts/deposits and maintain the daily QuickBooks Online bank feed
  • Assist with month-end general ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience (2 years minimum) in a similar role
  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills
  • Accounting diploma or degree is preferred
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks Online is beneficial
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets is beneficial
  • Ability to learn and utilize new tools/technology
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must exercise full discretion and confidentiality
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
