About the role
- Director of Operations scaling shared services, automation, and operational performance at Flare, an identity-first cyber threat intelligence company. Partnering with the COO to support global growth.
Responsibilities
- Expand Flare’s infrastructure to support growth objectives as the company scales
- Design and execute strategic cross-functional initiatives that enable scaling while enforcing Flare’s culture
- Build a shared services function and act as an internal trusted consultant alongside the COO
- Centralize measurement and management of operational performance
- Work with department leads to establish baseline measures
- Create a shared dashboard to monitor performance
- Identify and implement continuous improvements across processes
- Incorporate best practices and scale shared capabilities such as reporting, platform analytics, project tracking, change management, and procurement
- Identify changing needs and departmental gaps addressable by shared services
- Facilitate annual forecasting and budgeting with Finance
- Build a team of shared, contract, and full-time members to execute operations initiatives
- Become familiar with Flare’s platform, datasets, and customer use cases
- Review process and policy documentation and establish operating standards and routines
- Analyze operating performance metrics and projects, recommend prioritization, and develop execution plans
- Standardize project execution across Flare
- Lead project coordination and delivery
- Facilitate daily operating tasks and departmental requests
- Own recurring internal and external reports
- Create a toolset to evaluate future strategic opportunities
- Support global teams outside normal business hours as needed
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in operations consulting or management roles
- Experience within SaaS organizations
- Prior experience within cybersecurity organizations is preferred
- Prior experience with start up / scale up organizations is preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills across multiple audience levels, from individual contributor to executive
- Demonstrated proficiency in cross-functional project management
- Experience integrating systems and developing automated and agentic solutions to drive efficiency and coordination
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical issues and provide effective solutions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and drive issues to resolution
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
