About the role
- Engineer II performing design, analysis, testing, and field engineering for Framatome Canada’s nuclear technologies. Supporting safe, efficient CANDU reactor operations and product-life-cycle improvements.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine engineering assignments involving design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, specification preparation, field tasks, and field-problem resolution
- Solve straightforward engineering problems, analyze solutions, and assess them using standard procedures
- Ensure compliance with government, organizational, and customer engineering standards
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria
- Build knowledge of organizational processes and customers
- Work on special projects and perform related duties as required
- Apply technical expertise to improve technical solutions supporting the product life cycle and replacement of Framatome technologies
- Participate in resolving technical issues identified by project management, business line management, or customers to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria
- Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment
- Good problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Questioning attitude and self-checking practices
- Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role
