About the role

  • Engineer II performing design, analysis, testing, and field engineering for Framatome Canada’s nuclear technologies. Supporting safe, efficient CANDU reactor operations and product-life-cycle improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine engineering assignments involving design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, specification preparation, field tasks, and field-problem resolution
  • Solve straightforward engineering problems, analyze solutions, and assess them using standard procedures
  • Ensure compliance with government, organizational, and customer engineering standards
  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria
  • Build knowledge of organizational processes and customers
  • Work on special projects and perform related duties as required
  • Apply technical expertise to improve technical solutions supporting the product life cycle and replacement of Framatome technologies
  • Participate in resolving technical issues identified by project management, business line management, or customers to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
  • Maintain a safety mindset

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria
  • Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Good problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Questioning attitude and self-checking practices
  • Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role
