About the role
- Project Manager overseeing execution of GIS Services projects. Responsible for project delivery, management of activities and customer relations at GE Vernova.
Responsibilities
- Review the project scope and compare it to the quotation during the handover of the project from the Commercial group to Project Management.
- Lead the project kickoff meeting with all internal contributors and assign roles and responsibilities.
- Lead the kickoff meeting with the client to communicate the nature of the work to be performed and clarify any issues in the order.
- Coordinate all project-related activities, including on-site activities.
- Track project spending against the budget (costs, materials, labor).
- Lead and prepare summaries/minutes for project follow-up meetings (internal and external).
- Prepare and present project reviews to organizational management.
- Communicate and regularly update the client on project progress.
- Manage on-site subcontractor contracts.
- Follow up with Purchasing and Procurement regarding supplier deliveries.
- Track project deviations and negotiate contract variations.
- Execute billing in accordance with contract terms.
- Produce the project's post-mortem analysis report.
- Perform the administrative project close-out.
Requirements
- This role requires significant experience in project management.
- Education level equivalent to a university master’s degree or an accredited college diploma.
- Hold a university degree specialized in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years proven project management experience (relevant to the role).
- Bilingual — fluent in spoken and written English and French.
