About the role

Responsibilities
- Support the Strategic Procurement team in managing regulatory obligations related to purchased components and materials
- Request, obtain, and validate supplier compliance declarations related to PFAS, TSCA, Conflict Minerals (CMRT), REACH, RoHS, and Proposition 65 regulations
- Update and track records in the Assent platform
- Create and send supplier requests, track deadlines, and follow up with overdue suppliers
- Validate submitted documents and identify missing, incomplete, or non-compliant information
- Escalate problematic cases to management or the relevant engineering and quality teams
- Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Quality teams to validate the impact of new parts or suppliers on product compliance
- Monitor changes and updates to applicable regulations and communicate potential impacts to the team
- Attend webinars offered by Assent
- Prepare status reports and performance metrics
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of product compliance processes
- Provide occasional administrative support to the Strategic Procurement team
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program in engineering, environmental studies, chemistry, science, business administration, procurement, supply chain management, or a related field
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including pivot tables and tracking formulas
- Detail-oriented, thorough, and organized, with the ability to manage multiple supplier files simultaneously
- Self-motivated, curious, and capable of strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Strong communication and follow-up skills, particularly when conducting professional follow-ups with suppliers
- Basic knowledge of environmental and product compliance regulations (REACH, RoHS, PFAS, TSCA, Prop 65, and Conflict Minerals) is an asset
- Previous experience with a supplier compliance management platform (Assent or equivalent) is an asset
- Interest in the electronic manufacturing sector and international supply chains is an asset
