About the role

Responsibilities
- Design digital, analog, and power circuits, including component research, technical solution development, calculations, simulations, and printed circuit board implementation
- Analyze technical feasibility, risk level, and labor requirements to meet project needs
- Contribute to writing the technical sections of proposals
- Contribute to preparing technical design specifications
- Contribute to preparing product installation, operation, and maintenance manuals
- Create component symbols, electronic schematics, and bills of materials
- Commission prototype boards
- Prepare plans and procedures for production testing and certification testing
- Perform internal functional verification testing of electronic boards
- Perform internal testing under adverse conditions, including safety, disturbances, EMC, climatic, and mechanical testing
- Conduct certification testing with customers in accordance with various international standards
- Provide guidance and support for printed circuit board and mechanical part design in collaboration with CAD technicians
- Support products with customers, the Production department, and other designers
- Collaborate on project management, including cost and schedule management and follow-up meetings
- Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews
- Assume the role of Product Manager as needed to ensure the performance and sustainability of solutions throughout their life cycle
- Perform other related duties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic board design
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., Altium)
- Knowledge of VHDL programming
- Knowledge of safety standards (IEC / UL / CSA) is an asset
- Knowledge of power electronics is an asset
- Knowledge of analog design is an asset
- Knowledge of signal processing is an asset
- Experience with product life cycle management and manufacturing issue resolution
- Experience providing technical support to production and managing non-conformities
- Laboratory skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Rigor and autonomy
- Intermediate English proficiency
