Project Manager overseeing budgets, schedules, staff, and contractors for Wood’s global mining and metals engineering projects. Hybrid role based in Saskatoon.
About the role
- Project Manager leading multidisciplinary demolition and closure projects for GHD, a global engineering and professional services firm. Overseeing design integration, technical delivery, estimating, tenders, and client advisory across Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Support and help grow the Ontario team while working with diverse clients and engineering projects, including demolition and building renovation projects throughout Canada
- Act as project manager for existing and future demolition and closure projects
- Participate in business development initiatives to grow the business in the Ontario market
- Supervise and coordinate multi-discipline project teams
- Produce design calculations and contribute to design concepts and technical specifications
- Assist with quantity take-offs and cost estimating assignments
- Deliver and be accountable for technical assignments
- Lead preparation of tenders and proposals
- Participate in field investigations, including material take-offs, existing conditions assessments, and hazardous-material sampling
- Develop decision-making, communication, and technical skills
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-6 years experience in the consulting or construction industry
- A real passion for problem solving
- An organised approach to meeting deadlines
- Ability to collaborate and be an adaptable team member
- Adaptability and a flexible approach to working across a variety of projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Building engineering, demolition experience and/or estimating experience is advantageous
