About the role

  • Technicien(ne) aux finances et services aux membres pour la COMAQ, corporation québécoise du milieu municipal. Gérant adhésions, tenue de livres et soutien budgétaire.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for members regarding memberships, billing, inquiries, and information
  • Keep the membership database up to date and assist with recruitment and retention campaigns
  • Coordinate board of directors and committee meetings, prepare the required documents, and follow up on action items
  • Provide cross-functional administrative support to the team, including drafting, proofreading, document management, and mail handling
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing deposits, and filing supporting documents
  • Document and optimize administrative and member service procedures
  • Assist with payroll processing through Nethris and monitor government compliance obligations
  • Participate in budget preparation and periodic follow-ups
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal financial statements
  • Prepare the documents required for the external audit file
  • Perform other related duties

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) in administrative and management techniques, accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience in administrative or accounting roles
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Teams, as well as SharePoint
  • Thoroughness, autonomy, team spirit, and a strong customer service orientation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
