About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the firm’s internal professional inspections of certification engagements and related services
  • Conduct file inspections to assess compliance with professional standards, the firm’s methodology, and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare inspection reports for authorized signatories, assurance groups, and the firm
  • Participate in root cause analysis and identify improvement opportunities following inspection findings
  • Support teams during inspections conducted by the Ordre des CPA du Québec (Quebec CPA Order) and assist with their preparation
  • Monitor follow-up on action plans resulting from internal and regulatory inspections, ensuring established deadlines are met
  • Guide and advise partners, directors, and authorized signatories on the application of professional standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm’s offices to promote a consistent, centralized approach to quality management
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training activities on compliance, inspections, and professional best practices

Requirements

  • CPA designation with an audit qualification
  • More than five years of relevant experience in assurance engagements
  • Deep knowledge of the CPA Canada Handbook requirements
  • Comfortable with and curious about technological tools and innovations
  • Significant experience performing assurance engagements and related services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to influence, and diplomatic communication with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple files independently while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent command of French
  • Experience in professional inspections (asset)
  • Knowledge of RCGT methodology and practices (asset)
