About the role

  • Construction Project Manager coordinating construction projects, subcontractors, schedules, and budgets for Greatario. Hybrid Woodstock role requiring job-site visits and travel across Canadian provinces.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple construction projects with hands-on involvement to ensure adherence to specifications, timely completion, and budget compliance
  • Conduct regular job site visits and provide hands-on assistance as needed
  • Assemble shop drawing packages for submission
  • Develop cost-effective project plans and schedules using resources logically
  • Select and coordinate subcontractors across project phases
  • Attend construction meetings and follow up to resolve issues
  • Oversee trade contractor performance and review engineering drawings for compliance with specifications and regulations
  • Order materials and ensure delivery to job sites
  • Administer construction contracts and obtain necessary permits and licenses
  • Review Foreman reports, investigate difficulties, and correct safety violations or deficiencies
  • Interact with contractors, engineers, and customers
  • Provide technical support to Sales staff, including assisting with project scope estimates during the bid process
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure bill processing
  • Track and control construction schedules and associated costs to achieve completion within allocated time and budget
  • Report project progress and necessary plan modifications to clients

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years Project Management experience in the Construction Industry
  • Post Secondary education in a related field
  • Preference given to candidates with a C.E.T Designation
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Strong ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to liaise with clients and consultants in the management of site staff and subcontractors in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and AutoCAD required
  • Flexible to travel
  • Ability to work in a team environment along with strong management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Detail oriented, effective problem solving with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Knowledge and understanding of French considered an asset
