About the role

  • Gartner Director Analyst advising enterprise leaders on agentic data management. Publishing research, presenting insights, and supporting clients’ data and analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality actionable advice through a variety of media
  • Write clear, actionable provocative and pragmatic research
  • Provide timely, high-quality research content peer review
  • Create and deliver presentations for webinars, onsite engagements, and Gartner conferences
  • Track vendors, market trends, emerging practices, and adjacent spaces
  • Deliver sales support to retain and grow Gartner’s business
  • Build credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner research, methodology, and strategy
  • Participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions
  • Collaborate with peers in the research community
  • Identify research process improvements and develop new service-delivery processes
  • Mentor and coach more junior team members
  • Engage clients through virtual meetings, sales support, conferences, and industry events

Requirements

  • Experience with Agentic Data Management, including delivered live projects and understanding of challenges, use cases, and technology
  • Real-world implementation experience of Agentic Data Management; proof-of-concept-only experience is insufficient
  • Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Professional Qualification, or 10+ years of direct experience in a field related to Data and Analytics
  • Knowledge of core Agentic Data Management vendors, products, and capabilities
  • Familiarity with Chief Data and Analytics Officer initiatives, goals, objectives, and business-value ROI
  • Ability to speak confidently to C-level executives and provide actionable, role-relevant insights
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines while producing high-quality deliverables
  • Excellence in research and writing
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
  • Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% where applicable
  • Data & Analytics background, potentially including prior hands-on practitioner experience and leadership of teams or teams of teams
  • Understanding of the full data lifecycle, including governance, quality, integration, reusability, and management
  • Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data and applying patterns and frameworks to client challenges
  • Ability to explain complex concepts concisely and simply
  • Subject-matter expertise and comfort presenting at large- and small-scale speaking engagements
  • Executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
