About the role
- Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer building AI-driven cloud insurance platforms for Guidewire. Developing Java microservices, front-end configuration tools, and scalable SaaS services.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack capabilities for APD and insurance content transformation
- Implement scalable Java microservices and APIs on AWS using Kubernetes and Docker
- Develop performant front-end experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to generate, refactor, and extend code
- Apply enterprise architecture and software design patterns for reliability, maintainability, and performance
- Collaborate with product management, architects, and engineers in an agile environment
- Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, and testing practices and deployment pipelines
- Own impactful projects such as product modeling capabilities, AI-assisted configuration workflows, and reliability/performance enhancements
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to the current role and use data-driven insights
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally in SaaS or cloud-based products
- Strong proficiency in core Java
- Experience building and maintaining production microservices on a major cloud platform, preferably AWS
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript on the front end
- Understanding of enterprise architectural and software design patterns
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices and tools, including TeamCity and Git-based workflows
- Proven ability to use AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred
