About the role

  • Global Marketing Category Manager driving product strategy, lifecycle management, and market growth for HF Sinclair’s lubricant business. Leading category planning, campaigns, SKU optimization, and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and implement defined segment strategies and associated projects
  • Lead the product lifecycle and product management process
  • Drive alignment among key stakeholders to deliver value for customers, distributors, and the organization
  • Support marketing management systems and corporate governance processes, including IMS Policy, IATF, and ISO
  • Assist with management of the product SKU lifecycle and product portfolio
  • Develop segment plans and related marketing materials, events, and programs
  • Support internal and external audit activities
  • Manage the Speed to Market process for assigned product areas
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends, customer needs, competitive landscapes, consumer behavior, and industry developments
  • Manage annual marketing category volumes and margin planning and five-year plans
  • Lead and manage commercial tasks supporting the Manager, Business Segments
  • Track and report core activities from initiation through field execution
  • Steward the PLM process
  • Lead product line performance and SKU rationalization activities, including reporting business results
  • Coordinate regular SKU Optimization and Product Lifecycle reviews
  • Devise and execute promotional campaigns to increase product awareness, drive sales, and enhance brand visibility
  • Develop market-mapping datasets for assigned segments
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Work with procurement to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms
  • Develop and deliver training, webinars, sales enablement materials, and packaging and labelling designs
  • Support campaigns, agency briefs, segment/category budgeting, and tracking
  • Perform special assignments as directed by the supervisor

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related B2B Marketing or Product/Category Management experience
  • Project Management Skills
  • Experience in B2B marketing
  • Knowledge of the lubricants and/or specialty products businesses and product lines
  • Experience with CRM and Marketing Automation (SalesForce / Pardot) and sales enablement
  • A Bachelors degree in Marketing or a related field, or a combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Experience and working knowledge of Category Management processes and relevant stakeholders
  • Product Management Experience, including managing product lifecycle from initial development to product exit
  • Marketing aptitude, including pricing, promotions/advertising, and supplier management
  • Proven experience in market intelligence, product and market scanning, market analysis, and product line profitability analysis
  • Ability to form partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, with effective communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in managing people and/or teams and influencing stakeholders globally and regionally
  • Business, commercial, financial, and technical savvy
  • Ability to make decisions based on facts and judgement
  • Ability to translate technical information into customer-understandable terms
