About the role
- Commercial Insurance Associate servicing commercial accounts for HUB, a North American insurance brokerage. Processing policies, supporting producers, and advising clients on coverage.
Responsibilities
- Assist producer and marketer with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts
- Meet existing clients’ needs and process documentation, including Certificates of Insurance, Cover Notes, Renewals, Proposals, Endorsements, In-House Policies, Invoicing, Finance Contracts, and Customer Correspondence
- Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers before forwarding to the client
- Contact clients for renewal information
- Take client calls and answer questions regarding coverages
- Accept and process online quotes
- Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price in conjunction with the producer
- Update client information as changes occur
- Answer account-related questions and requests from clients, lawyers, and banks
- Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request or inquiry
- Perform minimal but regular duties supporting the floater position
- Work closely with Producers and Marketers on Commercial accounts
- Build long-term client relationships and provide client service
Requirements
- Level 2 Insurance License
- 1 year of commercial insurance experience considered an asset
- 1 year of general insurance industry experience considered an asset
- Industry designation considered an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, or General Insurance and Risk Management Diploma, BCIT)
- Highly self-directed with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage your own workload
- Strong attention to detail, with accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Committed to following established processes, policy, and compliance requirements
- Collaborative approach and a genuine interest in contributing to a diverse team
- Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive client experiences
- Clear and credible written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, client focused environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Successful background check required
